The C.S. Bell line of hammer mills has a simple, uncomplicated design . . . yet is extremely versatile:

Constructed of cast iron/carbon steel or, all-stainless construction.
Adaptable to most grinding operations without complicated setup procedures.
Easy access for hammer and screen inspection or replacement.
Low power requirements - International voltages available.

Offered in three standard widths: Model 10 (6"), Model 20 (9"), Model 30 (12")

These models are available in two discharge designs:

Bottom Discharge

Can process most dry material as well as wet or pulpy materials (such as fruit or fish, etc. ...).
Bottom (underside) is completely open for full and rapid discharge.
Efficient production processing materials down to 1/8" - 1/4" range final size.
Easily installed over a pit, hopper, conveyor or any container.
Used where suction or blower type mills are not practical.

Blower Discharge

Used mainly for grinding dry, light weight material rapidly.
Material discharges from top of side-mounted blower unit.
Processed material can be blown 20 ft. for distribution.

Complete Package Units
All hammer mill units are available in complete package form. There are various features and accessories that can add specific functional characteristics to your hammer mill. No. 10 Bottom Discharge, cast iron
with feed table and elevated mobile frame for discharge into 5 gallon pail.

No. 30 Blower Discharge, cast iron
with magnet installed in feed table, galvanized dust collector and standard base frame.

No. 20 Bottom Discharge, stainless steel
with feed hopper, dual safety interlocks, elevated mobile frame and vacuum discharge chute.

No. 20 Blower, cast iron
with feed table, mobile frame w/casters/brake kit and collection/filter assembly.

No. 30 Bottom Discharge, stainless steel
with feed table, 38 inch high elevated mobile frame. Frames can also be affixed to the floor.

We build custom mills to your specifications. We also modify our current models for specialized applications. These mills can be manufactured of stainless steel for food (herb, spice, fruit/vegetable, etc. ...) processing or aggressive materials. We also build mills for specific uses such as glass crushing, or grist milling.
